Let's put this into perspective. For those of us who like having smooth legs everyday, we'll estimate you spend about 15 minutes each day shaving your legs from top to bottom.
Not including your bikini (make it an even 20 minutes for your legs and bikini). Of course this may not be the case in the winter or on a day you're running late but for arguments' sake let's leave it at 15 minutes per day.
That is:
- 105 minutes a week,
- 450 minutes a month (7.5 hours),
- 5,475 minutes a year (92 hours!)
That's crazy. But I'm not going to stop there. In 10 years you will have spent 54,750 minutes or 913 hours just shaving your legs! Let me take this one step further by saying if you make $20 an hour, and you chose to work for those hours instead of shaving your legs (and be prepared because this is going to hurt a little).
- In one month you could have made an extra $150 instead of spending that time shaving,
- in one year you could have made $1,840 and
- in 10 years you could have made a whopping $18,260.
I can think of a hundred things I could do with almost $20,000. The average female starts shaving when's she's 14 years old and does so well into her 60's. I don't even want to calculate the cost for you as it hurts me just thinking about it.
And don't forget how often you have to replace your razor, whether you're buying the cheap disposable kind that are only good for one or two uses or the more expensive ones that require new blades every so often, as well as shaving cream and post shaving smoothing gel and so forth. Even though you barely notice these costs on a regular basis, when you consider that you are shaving for 50 years or more, it adds up! Like the cost of a new home.
Think of what you could be doing with that extra time; working and making money or spending it with family and friends, playing with your children, sleeping or even resting instead of running a blade over your legs and risking cuts that will burn and sting once you step out of the shower or bath, and don't forget about those embarrassing, bumpy ingrown hairs.
I hate getting up 15 or 20 minutes earlier than I have to just to shave my legs. I know that if I didn't I wouldn't be able to wear my cute skirts and capris during the spring and summer. If, however, I made the decision to have laser hair removal performed on my legs, I would never have to worry about getting up earlier OR not being able to wear a skirt during the spring and summer months because I would always be ready for the warm weather.
When I go on vacation the last thing I want to be doing is shaving every day only to go lay on the beach or jump in the ocean and experience the sensitivity that goes along with razor burn. OUCH! That smooth, hair-free feeling just never seems to last as long as I want it to. With laser hair removal, the only thing you have to worry about while on vacation is re-filling my margarita glass!
Shaving does not always allow you time to plan. Let's say you're running late in the morning and decide to skip shaving, only to remember hours later that you have a romantic date planned. What is meant to be a soft caress can feel like rubbing sandpaper for your guy which can put you into an awkward position.
Laser hair removal gives you the freedom and the confidence to have spur-of-the-moment romantic dates without worrying about whether you'll be able to find 15 minutes to lock yourself in the bathroom and shave your legs or any other body parts.
So, while we all think Laser Hair Removal is so expensive, it can actually make you thousands in the long run and save you precious hours to spend doing the thing you really love!
